Spencer McCallum is a 2024 grad to watch. I predict (along with a lot of others) that he will accomplish great things in the coming years both on and off the field. For starters, he is an accomplished soccer player who recently made the Calvary FC U21 roster. But more importantly, he is a genuinely nice guy. Spencer’s thousand watt smile lights up any room he walks into and we had a so much fun photographing him. In his personalized grad session we celebrated his upcoming high school graduation, his newly restored car and his love of soccer. (and also, someone who is quite special to him as well. 😊
The weather was not on our side all day and hour by hour we were wondering if this shoot was going to be rescheduled. Despite the pouring rain, we all decided to give it a shot (pun intended) and head out directly towards the storm clouds. Eventually it stopped raining and the moody skies provided a spectacular backdrop, helping bring this session to life.
Spencer wanted an urban vibe, so we hit up one of my favorite out of the way spots that lends itself well to a edgy city shoot. Next we headed to Scottsman Hill along with every other party bus and limo in the city it seemed. The crowds provided no end of entertainment while Spencer dribbled the ball with the cityscape of Calgary behind him.
Spencer, we wish you nothing but the best this summer and in the coming years. You are an amazing young man and we feel very honoured to have the opportunity to create this memory for you.
