Capturing Love on a Warm Winter Day

An Engagement Photo Session in Fish Creek Park, Calgary, Alberta

February in Calgary often brings spectacular weather, and when it does, there’s no better reason to head outdoors. We took Anna and Carson to the heart of Fish Creek Provincial Park, where there is no shortage of beautiful scenery. From the snow-dusted fields to romantic bridges and unique buildings, this location offers endless photo opportunities that never fail to impress.

With the warmth of the sun and a couple ready to have some fun, we knew that we were in for a special session. As this happy couple counts down the days until June, their love and excitement were on display in each smile.

Anna and Carson’s willingness to get creative made our job a joy. We captured many spontaneous moments filled with laughter and affection. Their genuine connection translated into stunning photographs that reflect how much they love each other.

I was particularly excited to test out my new Canon R5 camera in outdoor, full-sun conditions for the first time. The results exceeded my expectations. I found myself falling even more in love with its capabilities with each click of the shutter. Using creative techniques such as shade, shadows, reflections, and back lighting, we produced vibrant images that beautifully showcase Anna and Carson’s personalities.

As Anna and Carson prepare to exchange vows, we send them our warmest wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness. It was an honor to capture their love story amidst the natural splendor of Fish Creek Park. We look forward to seeing where life’s adventures take them next.
